Set Up an Email Message Webhook

Step-by-step guide for setting up a webhook action that sends an email when a chosen Apptoto trigger occurs.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to set up a webhook action that sends an email every time specific Triggers (see full list here) occur:

1. In Apptoto, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
2. Click the “Webhooks” tab under “Advanced Integration Options” to expand.
3. Click “Add Webhook”.
4. Under “When this happens”, select from any of the available events. Events are grouped into the following categories:
   • Events
   • Participants
   • Booking pages
   • Messages
   • Stoplist
   • Payments
5. Under “Do this”, select “Send an email”.
6. Under “Send the email to”, choose who gets the email. Choose “A specific email address” to enter any address.
7. Edit the Subject and Message as desired. Apptoto fills in a starter message for the event you chose; use “Insert Field” to add details like {{ participant.name }} or {{ event.day_and_time_phrase }}.
8. Make sure the On toggle is on, then click “Create”.
