Set Up a SMS Message Webhook

Step-by-step guide for setting up a webhook action that fires when an SMS message is sent, received, or fails.

To set up a webhook action that triggers any time a SMS message is sent, follow the step-by-step guide below:

  1. In Apptoto, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Click the “Webhooks” tab under “Advanced Integration Options” to expand.
  3. Click “Add Webhook”.
  4. Under “When this happens”, select from one of the following three options
    • Message sent
    • Message received
    • Message failed to send or deliver
  5. Under “Do this”, select what you’d like to happen after a message is sent, received, or fails. Options include:
    • Send an email
      • If you choose Send an email, fill in the additional form fields that appear and customize your email message content.
    • Send to a URL (webhook)
      • If you choose Send to a URL (webhook), enter the URL where you want Apptoto to send the message details.
    • Send a text message
      • If you choose Send a text message (available when text notifications are turned on for your account), enter the phone number and the message.
  6. Make sure the On toggle is on, then click “Create”.
