Enhance your messaging with attachments and emoticons

It is now easy to further customize and personalize your Apptoto messages with attachments, photos, and emoticons. Photos and emoticons are fully supported in both SMS and emails in a variety of messages types. Attachments of other types are fully supported in emails.  You can also try sending attachments of any file type through SMS however your mileage may vary based on what type of handset/carrier the recipient is using.  Because of this, we recommend only sending Photos in SMS (i.e. MMS messages).  If you do attach a file that isn’t a photo to a SMS message in Apptoto, Apptoto will attempt to send both the photo and a link to the attachment for the recipient to click on to open the attachment (the link is NOT password protected). Files and photos can be attached to appointment reminder messages, appointment follow-up messages, and appointment booking/initial messages on the “Auto Messages” tab.  They can also be attached to messages templates under Settings > Message Templates for use when sending one-time or blast messages.   On the messages where this feature is available in your Apptoto account, there will be a clickable Attach […]

Recall Past Appointments with Apptoto Campaigns

We are reopening and reconnecting worldwide and many companies had to cancel appointments due to COVID-19. Losing those clients and that revenue is detrimental at any time, particularly when we are in recovery mode. Apptoto has a solution to use our Campaigns tool to search your appointment books through a set time range and tell the system to target clients who have not been back or rebooked an appointment. We’ll do the work to get them back on your calendar and in your active rolodex. We will automatically pull out any duplicates and any appointments that have already rebooked – even in the future. The guesswork is taken out of your follow-up and you will be able to dedicate your time to meeting with your rebooked clients. The first step is creating a new Campaign and choosing Appointments on a Calendar as the group of recipients. Once the specifics are chosen for your calendar and the time frame of appointments, you will be able to fully customize the messages you want to send. When your client receives the message on their phone or computer, they will be able to book […]

Increase Telehealth Appointment Attendance

News is changing by the minute and so is the world of healthcare. During the COVID-19 nationwide public health emergency, doctor’s visits have shifted from an in-office appointment to a focus on telehealth. In response to these changes, the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has expanded provider’s communication options. Telehealth has been used by many healthcare professionals in the past. Now, social distancing has expanded telehealth beyond its prior use to be utilized in a variety of other practices as well. In order for these appointments to be effective, patients need to be aware of their appointments and have access to the necessary information. Per a release from HHS, “A covered health care provider that wants to use audio or video communication technology to provide telehealth to patients during the COVID-19 nationwide public health emergency can use any non-public facing remote communication product that is available to communicate with patients.” Apptoto is a leader in appointment reminders and will ensure your telehealth appointments are well-attended and beneficial to the patient, provider, and practice. We are here to assist with these messages […]
