Tracking Booking Page Visitors

Apptoto allows you to track visitors to your Booking Page by embedding your Google Analytics ID and Primary Domain on the booking page.

Google Analytics 4

To add Google Analytics 4 tracking to your Booking Page, please enter your GTM or Google Tag Manager Container ID into the “Settings” > “Integrations” > “Google Analytics / Tag Manager” tab. Learn how to find your Google Tag Manager Container ID here.

You will then see:

  • Page views on /b : Represent booking page views
  • Page views on /br : Represent appointment page views (i.e., the page the user sees after they book an appointment)
  • A Custom Event named “apptoto_booking” whenever someone books an appointment through your Apptoto booking page
    • A custom parameter “booking_page” is added to that event for further tracking purposes.

Google Analytics Universal (deprecated)

Please note: Google is actively deprecating Google Analytics Universal.  Please switch to using Google Tag Manager to add your Google Analytics 4 tracking code.

Enter your Google Analytics Universal ID and Primary Domains on the “Settings” > “Integrations” > “Google Analytics / Tag Manager” tab.

Once you’ve configured Apptoto to use your Google Analytics accounts, you can look for the following data to begin showing up.

  • Page views on /b : Represent booking page views
  • Page views on /br : Represent appointment page views (i.e., the page the user sees after they book an appointment)
  • Events (in the category “Apptoto Booking Page”)
    • Booked: Fired when an appointment is booked through your booking page.
