By default, Apptoto is willing to send email, sms/text, and calls to all of your clients. However you and your clients can prevent certain types of messages from being sent to them.

This is especially important for healthcare users, as all patients should opt-in to (or have obvious ways to opt-out out of) receiving reminder and appointment messages per the “Privacy Rule” portion of HIPAA.

Apptoto provides the following mechanisms to opt client in and out of receiving messages.

  1. Opt-ing in and out using Contact Preferences
  2. Explicit Opt-out & Opt-in lists
  3. Participant Extraction Blacklists
  4. Stoplists
