The “Actions” tab of the “Booking Page Details” page allows you to specify what actions are taken after a client books an appointment with you.

Showing the appointment page

By default the client will be shown the “Appointment Page” for the appointment. To configure the appointment page, head over to “Settings” > “Appointment Pages” tab.

Redirecting the client to your website

Instead of showing the client the “Appointment Page”, you can redirect the client to a page on your website by changing the “After Booking” option to “Redirect to url” and specifying the redirect url.

Note that you can use the same fields that you can use in the booking appointment templates.

Sending notifications to you and the client

On this tab you can also customize the email and SMS messages sent to you (i.e. the calendar owner) and the client.

Click on the “Pencil” buttons to customize the message.

Please note that the fields you can use in Booking Page notifications include all of the fields documented on these two pages:

  1. Standard Message Fields
  2. Booking Appointment Template Fields

The “Standard Message Fields” trump the “Booking Appointment Template Fields” if any of them are the same. E.g. if you name a custom field “participant”, you won’t be able to use {{ participant }} in the message template, instead you would have to use {{ booking_request.participant }}.

Auto Messages

By default, Apptoto will send the enabled Auto Messages (found on the “Auto Messages” tab) to the client about the appointment that they created on your calendar. These messages will be sent in addition to the notifications specified above.

If you would prefer for Apptoto to not send Auto Messages to appointments booked online, then change this option to “Disable Auto Messages for appt created”.
